Outdoor Fitness - Anytime, Anywhere...

Meeting a friend, bird watching, taking a break; many things happen on park benches. 

I have my own take on how to put benches to their best use. 

Park benches are a tool I use for my outdoor workouts. Training exclusively outdoors has allowed me to see common objects for more than what they are intended to be. 

Once I started to see the opportunities each object represents, I felt oddly free. Gone are the limits, there are no boundaries. 

Experiencing a revelation like this regarding something I have been doing for the past 25 years, I realize the possibilities in other areas of life must be endless. 

I find this empowering. I am not stuck, I am going to do it my way and it will work…most of the time. 

In this video I complete a full body workout using my natural surroundings and a kettlebell. The kettlebell is optional, I could have done pull-ups on one of the surrounding trees or rows on the railing I used for bar dips. The possibilities are limitless.

 

Hopefully this gave you some ideas as to how you can get a great workout in anytime and anywhere with a little imagination and a lot of effort.
